The Climate Short Animation Film Competition, presented by Climate Spring, TK-FX and Lowkey Films, in partnership with BBC Writers and in collaboration with BFI NETWORK, presents a unique opportunity to direct the screen industry’s creativity towards climate action, by encouraging filmmakers and creatives to envision and articulate a world where sustainability and regeneration are the norm.
Dobrosphera developed the plot for the short animated film “Breath of Earth” as part of a Climate Short Animation Film Competition, aiming to inspire emotional connection with the planet. The story follows a young tree spirit who awakens to find her forest suffocating from pollution and silence. As she searches for the lost “breath” of the Earth, she encounters children who can still hear nature’s whispers. Together, they spark a wave of regeneration. The animation blends folklore and climate science, offering a poetic call to action. Dobrosphera crafted the narrative to resonate across cultures, emphasizing hope, intergenerational care, and Earth’s resilience.
