Social Behaviour Change Communication
SBCC stands for Social and Behavior Change Communication.
It is an approach that goes beyond individual behavior change by also addressing social norms, cultural practices, power relations, and structural factors that influence how people act. SBCC combines communication, community participation, and behavioral science to create lasting change at individual, community, and societal levels. It is commonly used in public health, sustainability, climate action, gender equality, and development programs.
Dobrosphera works at the intersection of research, art, and communication to support positive social and environmental behavior change. We design evidence-based strategies that translate complex topics—such as sustainability, biodiversity, health, and social equity—into clear, engaging, and culturally relevant messages. By combining behavioral science, audience research, and artistic storytelling, we help institutions, NGOs, and communities shift attitudes and inspire action. Our SBCC approach is participatory, ethical, and context-sensitive, ensuring that communication is not only persuasive but also respectful, inclusive, and grounded in local realities.
